(1977, 1978 Canadian television series)

This is likely Bruce's first on-screen appearance. He guest starred on two episodes of this very popular Canadian television series early in his career in 1977 and 1978. The show centered around the character of Nick Adonidas, a middle-aged beachcomber who lived over a water front cafe owned by an elderly woman and her grandchildren. This enormously popular series ran from 1971 through 1989 and became a staple of Canadian Sunday night viewing. A family show that was scheduled directly after The Walt Disney Show, millions of Canadians watched the characters grow up over the years. The show still runs in syndication throughout Canada and has been sold to virtually every European country, but it remains practically unknown in the United States.
