Holt McCallany ("Men of Honor") has been added to the cast of Dimension Films' sci-fi submarine thriller "Below" for director David Twohy. He will play Loomis, a Navy lieutenant and right-hand man to Lt. Brice (Bruce Greenwood).

Daily Variety reports Scott Foley (Felicity) has joined the cast of David Twohy's submarine thriller BELOW. The Dimension Films production also stars Bruce Greenwood and Olivia Williams.

From a Madison WI newspaper (6/29/01), describing a bike trip around Michigan:
But we did see interesting things, including...The WW II submarine U.S.S. Silversides, now part of a historic display in Muskegon. We eagerly looked forward to touring the sub that had sunk 23 Japanese ships. Unfortunately, the Silversides was gone from its berth. It seems the sub was being used in the filming of a movie (tentatively named Below) and it was out on the lake. We did get a long distance view, however, as the sub was being towed back home by a couple of tugs.
