This week comes an above-average little sex mystery with a beautiful cast and stylish filming...The actors are consistently good and the casting is mildly off beat. Madsen is talented....and Greenwood manages to do major shifts in personality (and looks) with grace.
New Orleans Times Picayune 7/24/94
Greenwood is convincingly dastardly....
Entertainment Weekly 7/29/94
But it's Greenwood's meaty part as the over-the-top, no-good husband that grabs attention.
Variety 7/28/94
Virginia Madsen and Bruce Greenwood star as a twentysomething San Diego couple. She's a gorgeous housewife with a yen for a bookstore, he's a gorgeous ex-cop who's plotting revenge on the system......Madsen and Greenwood do all they can to kindle some weird chemistry.
Hollywood Reporter 7/28/94
Bruce Greenwood is good as a bitter ex-cop who robs a bank and frames his wife (Virginia Madsen) in this otherwise mediocre potboiler.
New York Newsday 6/4/95
The reliable Bruce Greenwood plays sour ex-cop Jack Westford, tired of both
his dead-end job as a security guard and his flawlessly beautiful blond
wife Annie (Virginia Madsen).
