Bree Turner plays with 'Dog' By Tatiana Siegel Mon Oct 3,10:53 AM ET Bree Turner ("The Wedding Planner") has signed on to join the family comedy "Firehouse Dog."

The story follows Rexxx, Hollywood's most in-demand canine star. After getting lost, the divalike dog is adopted by a down-on-its-luck firehouse.

 Turner will play a commercial producer who works with Rexxx before he goes missing. Josh Hutcherson already boarded the project, as did Bruce Greenwood, Dash Mihok and Steven Culp. TV veteran Todd Holland ("Malcolm in the Middle") directs for Fox-based Regency Enterprises.

 Turner, whose credits include "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo" and "Sorority Boys," is shooting the indie satire "The TV Set." She also stars in the upcoming Lindsay Lohan starrer "Just My Luck."
